The VOLVO Ocean Race has an exciting ten day stop over here in Newport on or about May 14-17; less than two months away. Bluenose Yachts and Jeanneau have teamed up with the Dongfeng Race team for this special event. Jeanneau has a special sponsor relationship with Dongfeng race team as a result of providing their race team some of our Sunfast Race boats to practice with.
As of March 15, 2015, the Dongfeng Race team is in fourth place in overall standing. Newport’s quasi local team ALVIMEDICA, is in fifth place. The start for the next leg from Aukland to Brazil begins tomorrow
We have a limited number of tickets available but we are confident all attendees to this weekend event will have a fabulous time, watching some great racing and have an opportunity to climb aboard our latest Sunfast 3600 that just arrived this week for a special Rhode Island client. This new Sunfast 3600 will here for the weekend and we are planning a technical design presentation. Come to see one of the fastest 36 footers, easy to race, double handed or team, that is winning races both here and in Europe. The SF3600 technical presentation is open upon your request below while our other events are available to a limited number of guests and if over subscribed we will conduct a ticket lottery.
