I have been sailing and racing boats both big and small most of my life. I have won the NBYA Bay Championship in both J24’s and as helmsman on a Swan 44. I have thousands of miles of offshore and inshore cruising and racing to include 4 Bermuda Races, a couple of Marblehead to Halifax jaunts as crew boss and primary helmsman and hundreds of one design races from New England to Florida and the West Coast…READ MORE

I’ve been obsessed with sailboats since I sailed a sunfish on a lake at age 8. I bought my first sailboat a 16′ Daysailor at age 12, and sold it to move up to an ODay 22 at 14. I lived aboard my MacWester 27 and Dufoir 35, And now live on land, but race and cruise my Kirie 37 throughout New England. I grew up racing 420s in Marblehead, MA, and continue to drive, navigate, and trim on everything from viper 640s…READ MORE

I have been exploring the waters of New England since I was about three feet tall. Around 25 years ago, I was first introduced to sailing and it has since become the ruling passion of my life. Throughout my former career in advertising and marketing, I was fortunate to have close relationships with many New England boat builders. In creating awareness of their boats, I got an education in boatbuilding methods…READ MORE

Boats have been a lifelong passion of mine. At age 16, while all of my friends were buying their first cars, I purchased my first boat—a 23-foot Chris Craft Corsair. My first job was as First Mate for Shoreline Boating, where I was assigned to two excursion vessels that sailed out of Norwalk, Conn. During college in Manhattan, I served as First Mate for World Yacht, working with various captains on their fleet of luxury yachts to ensure passenger safety and perform regular maintenance on the vessels…READ MORE

I learned to sail on a family Sunfish as a kid and then on my Grandparents Thunderbird One Design boat. When I met my wife in my mid 20’s she encouraged me to get back into sailing and it quickly became an obsession. First at Community Boating on the Charles River, then on any boat that would have me as crew. The last 10 years have been focused on One Design, inshore racing on Farr 40’s, RP Sleds, and TP 52’s and offshore racing the TransAtlantic and other point to point races mostly on Class 40’s and an RP56. Now with a young kid, I’m “settling down” a bit and focus on local Thunderbird OD racing and cruising our Wauqiez Gladiateur around New England with the family. READ MORE

At the age of 16, Paul became a sailing instructor for the recreation department in his home town. There he was sharing his passion for sailing with others aboard the program’s Flying Scott. This gave Paul a taste for larger sloops and was the catalyst for him to pursue brokering a deal with his parents to help him upgrade from a sunfish to something larger. After many days of yard work and chores, and selling the sunfish online, Paul took delivery of a used CL16, a Canadian built trailerable centerboard sloop that he and his father sailed together on freshwater lakes around Massachusetts and NH…

I have been boating for as long as I can remember. From the age of six, my sister and I would borrow ladders in the boatyard and climb all over people’s boats while my parents prepped our boat for the season. Since 2005, I’ve been working as a yacht broker and have actually had permission to climb aboard boats to show my clients. I still enjoy checking out boats as much as I did as a kid…
