Jeanneau presents the signature new model for 2005. The Sun Odyssey 49 DS was conceived using the Deck Salon concept of the Sun Odyssey 54 DS. Like her big sister, she adopts the teardrop-shaped windows; a key to the success and something to emulate. Her performance-orientated hull designed by Philippe Briand / Jeanneau Design and the new generation deck line created by Vittorio Garroni ensures the boat is not only elegant but comfortable at sea.

Accommodations

This Jeanneau 49DS is a three private stateroom layout with the master stateroom forward with queen size center line berth.

Aft of the companionway there are two double private staterooms with the possibility to remove the divider panel between the two berths and converts these two doubles into one VERY large master stateroom.

The forward stateroom has its own en-suite head and full shower while there is one additional full head and shower to port and aft of the navigation stations.

To starboard of the companionway stairs is a large L shaped galley with twin stainless sinks, oven, stove, overhead exhaust fan, freezer and fridge.  The fridge is top loading and front loading.  Plenty of storage in the galley and nice counter tops.

Opposite the galley and a well laid out ,forward facing navigation station with Raymarine E90 chartplotter, DC and AC electric panel and instrument gauges.

The main salon is highlighted by a deluxe teak folding table with a dinnette that will seat as many as eight with two lounge chairs.  The settee opposite the dinette is very comfortable and large enough to serve as a single berth.

Flat screen TV and DVD with radio/CD is installed in the mainsalon port side.
