Deck walk around

Scout is a stunning sight as you step aboard.  She feels all of the 73 feet with her long water line and sleek look.  Teak deck wraps the deck and is beautifully paired with high gloss rich red mahogany cabinsides and patina bronze hardware.

Up on the bow you likely have the best of any yacht.  A sucken leather bench seat forward of the windlass allowing all the working of the vessel to be behind you so you can enjoy the pure sights of the ocean.  Still up on the fore deck there are port and starboard bench seats and a built in centerline settee on the forward end cabin house.  All the seats carry the same dark blue leather cushions atop the gleaming mahogany furniture.

If you want to head back to see where the vessel is being operated, you can step up into the pilot house on port or starboard from the side decks.  Now about three feet higher the views are still astounding.  Now you have the scene of the classic helm and binnacle accompanies by some modern navigational and communication systems.  You never forget you are in a classic yacht sitting in a raised settee with varnish and teak as your foreground.

Aft of the pilot house and still up on the house Scout has the most perfect tea time or cocktail hour lounge one can imagine.  There is a elegant semi permanent Bimini and canvas sides below the hand rail to protect for the sun and wind, while still enjoying the ocean air while having a drink in the comfortable wicker chairs.

We still have one more lounge area available.  Maybe it is a little chilly or you just came up for your morning coffee back aft.  Scout has a full enclosed aft deck with built in settee.  I always loved being in the stern of the boat.  This is comfortable, private and elegant.  What could be better.

Interior walk through

The main salon in Scout is perfectly located forward of the pilot house.  There are large window port, starboard and forward all with shades.  The side windows can drop down for those perfect weather days.  Following the decor of the vessel you are surrounded by class bright mahgony.  Like the rest of the interior the main salon has a custom cream colored carpet. Located behind the main settee are cabinets for glassware and foward in the salon is a built in glass door mahgony case.

If it is time for bed or short break, the carpeted steps leading aft on the starboard side bring you first to the owners suite.  The cabin has two custom four post beds.  On starboard you have a single and on port there is a large double.  There are built in dresser drawers both port and starboard.   Just aft of the large double bed is the owners head accompanied by a full size porcelain tub.

Continuing aft is the guest suite, which has access to the aft deck.  Like the owners cabin there are port and starboard berths with custom four post mahgony.  The guest stateroom also has built in dresser drawers for each guest topped with white marble and mirror.  The guest head is to port aft of the berth and has a private separate shower.

Foward of the main salon you head down the starboard steps in to the galley.  Still with the overall appeal of the classic vessel but upgraded with modern appliances to maintain a high level of care for her owners and guests.

Crew quarters are forward of the galley with upper and lower berths to port and a settee to starboard.  They have their own private head and shower all the way forward.

Lyman-Morse Refit: 2017-2018

During the winter of 2017-2018 Lyman-Morse took on an exciting and extensive refit of Scout.  The vessel was completely in a plastic tent to maintain moisture throughout the winter. Extensive photos and records were taken to track process and document this process.
