DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION:
GOSHAWK is a contemporary design with spoon bow, round bilge, deep fin keel of lead and spade rudder. The hull is composite construction consisting of cold molded cedar wood, carbon fiber with a synthetic foam core.
Hull topsides are painted awlgrip white with a gold cove stripe. A single blue boot stripe tops the red bottom paint.
DECK:
The teak decks are in very good condition. The cabin sides are varnished bright and the deck house is painted white. Ventilation is provided through 2 opening deck hatches and 4 dorade boxes. Additional light and ventilation is augmented by the varnished opening butterfly hatch located amidships.
The cockpit features comfortable seating for up to 8, while offering good sight lines to the helmsman. Stepping in and out of the cockpit is effortless given the manageable height of the varnished coaming. A dining table with inlay in the cockpit makes for elegant dinners. The artistically curved varnished steering wheel may be replaced with a S.S. elk-hide covered wheel for offshore racing/passages.
All hardware is polished stainless steel, much of it custom.
Winches: (2) Harken 48ST, (3) Harken #880.0ST, (2) Harken 65.3ST all hydraulic.
Running back stays and roller furling are hydraulic.
Windlass: Lewmar with 30kg Bruce with chain and 3/4" rope, Fortress FX-85 with chain and 5/8" rope
Aesthetically pleasing yet functionally designed canvas dodger and awnings offer shade while underway and at anchor.
ACCOMODATIONSThe interior of GOSHAWK is truly special. Light colored beech and warm teak round out the the richly paneled cherry walls and the grooved white overhead that is found throughout the boat. Special attention was devoted to lighting, with LED lighting located overhead and task lights as needed. The glass front cabinets with back lighting add more dimension to the interior.
Descend the short ladder and the galley is located to port. The well lit, U shaped galley features a new 3 burner Dickinson Mediterranean Stove (LPG) with oven. Hot & cold pressure water in available at the double sink which is located amidships. Refrigeration is a top & front loading box equipped with Seafrost system.
Across from the galley and to starboard of the companionway steps is a snug quarter berth with a full head just forward of it.
Forward of the head is the navigation area. The nav station features a large desk and comfortable seating at which to view the electronics from the large screen Apple monitor and communications suite.
Just forward of the nav station and aft of the mast,is a long, deep upholstered settee which makes up into an excellent sea berth with lee cloth. Across from the settee are two full arm reading chairs and an expandable pedestal table. The main salon is beautifully appointed with exquisite joiner work and ample storage room.
Just forward of the mast are two single berth cabins, one fully enclosed and the other open.
The Owner's suite is located forward. It features a queen island bed, an en-suite head with large walk in shower and generous closet space. The heads feature fresh water flush electric toilets.
