VOLVO RACE – JEANNEAU – BLUENOSE YACHT SALES – COCKTAIL INVITE BELOW!
Team Dongfeng’s first place finish last evening in Newport, RI, was a fabulous start to the next week of activities, racing and festivities here at the Fort Adams Volvo Ocean Race village. Winning an ocean race by a mere three minutes after thousands of miles and weeks of grueling competitive sailing from Brazil is an incredible feat given the world class nature of the competition. The all women’s team called SCA arrived early this morning after being becalmed off the Rhode Island coast last night. However, the warm sunshine and enthusiastic crowds that awaited them demonstrated a huge level of support for every competitor.
Jeanneau has been an official sponsor of the Dongfeng Volvo Race Team for several years by providing their Sunfast 3200 models for pre race practice and team building. The recent addition of the Sunfast 3600 last year has demonstrated Jeanneau’s commitment to this growing category of either IRC, PHRF, ORR, in-shore, off-shore, double handed or team racing while still being an incredibly easy to sail cruiser when not rounding the buoys. The affordability of the SF3600 along with her versatility and winning race performance here in the USA, the MED, the Caribbean and around the world is an exciting combination.
