SHORTHANDED RACING NIGHT AT NORTH SAILS
Over 130 people joined us for the Shorthanded Racing Seminar at North Sails last month. There was a fantastic lineup of speakers, including Ken Read, Suzy Leech, Ellie Driver, and Glenn Walters. The seminar covered a wide range of topics, including Ken Read’s keys to shorthanded racing success, race prep, selecting the right sail inventory, avoiding mistakes, youth initiatives, sailing with family, division of responsibilities, local doublehanded events, and introducing the new Jeanneau Sun Fast 30 One Design.
The Sun Fast 3300 featured prominently in the seminar, and is the most successful shorthanded boat in New England, with podium finishes in the Newport Bermuda Race, NYYC Annual Regatta, Bermuda Shorthanded Return, Ida Lewis Distance Race, New England Solo Twin, Block Island Race, Vineyard Race, and many others.
