Boats have been a lifelong passion of mine. At age 16, while all of my friends were buying their first cars, I purchased my first boat—a 23-foot Chris Craft Corsair. My first job was as First Mate for Shoreline Boating, where I was assigned to two excursion vessels that sailed out of Norwalk, Conn. During college in Manhattan, I served as First Mate for World Yacht, working with various captains on their fleet of luxury yachts to ensure passenger safety and perform regular maintenance on the vessels. These early experiences instilled in me a love of the water that has never left. After college, my wife, Kim, and I bought our first sailboat, Bovinity—a 28-foot Tartan (Sparkman & Stevens Design). Two kids later, after years of sailing all over Long Island Sound, we decided it was time for a change, so we traded the sailboat in for our first trawler, a 32-foot Grand Banks, which we moored on the Connecticut River. We spent more than a decade piloting our Grand Banks to Block Island, Sag Harbor, and beyond. Today, we are in the process of restoring our current boat, a 33-foot Egg Harbor, bringing back her classic looks and style.
After a successful career as a Chief Creative Officer in the marketing industry as well as owner for 15 years of Yacht Interiors of Essex—providing customers with complete interior renovations, including canvas, upholstery, and flooring—I now enjoy using my passion for boats and my firsthand knowledge of a wide variety of crafts as a yacht broker, selling both sailing and power yachts. My goal is to find the perfect boat for my clients to enjoy—and to build lasting relationships along the way.
