Yes, it was a rainy, foggy, no wind start, but some competitors had to rush to the starting line to be on time.
This past weekend Jeanneau and Bluenose Yachts sponsored the New England Rendezvous. Approximately 14 boats participated. There was a nice party gathering at The Oar on Block Island Saturday night. While conditions for the rally/race from Dutch Harbor to Block Island on Saturday were foggy and almost windless, we still managed a quasi start. Only one boat was over the line early. Awards and prizes were playfully distributed. It was a Blue Jay beautiful Sunday on Block Island as well as for the return trip. Thank you to Jeanneau and Bluenose teams for a great organizational effort. Fun times were had by all. Everyone is looking forward to a repeat next year and hopes to grow the event.
