Low Noise II competing in the 2017 ORC Worlds Trieste
Italia yachts are continuing to sail well during the 2017 ORC World’s Trieste. The regatta started Monday July 3rd and continues through Saturday, July 8th. The long 99-mile race was won by Giuseppe Giuffre’s Italia 9.98 Low Noise II, with designer Matteo Polli on board. He was also on board when they won the 2015 World Championship in Barcelona, the debut performance of this now-proven design, a two-time winner of the Worlds. In Class C, to say an Italia Yachts 9.98 is winning would not be very surprising.

Italia 9.98’s have a proven track record in ORC competition. Both seasoned and new teams did well last night on 9.98’s, winning not just the 99 mile course but the 31.5 as well.
7 Italia 9.98’s are racing in Division C, which consists of 50 yachts. Currently “LOW NOISE II” and “SUGAR” hold 2 of the top 5 positions. Congratulations to both teams and good luck for the remainder of your races!
